Little Louli and her Loves - Geelong Family Photographer

The stars aligned when Lucy and I got together to talk about the possibility of a family shoot.

Lucy is not only an old friend but also an outrageously talented artist and screen printer. She is the creative soul behind ‘Little Louli’ a children’s bedlinen brand.  Louli makes beautiful cotton quilt covers and pillowcases printed with designs that are fresh and full of life. She says they are a ‘fun mix and match party for the bedroom.’

Right from the start I knew this shoot was going to be something really, crazy, beautiful.

Lucy knows how batty I am about cacti so she suggested we head down to her local succulent and unique plant nursery for something a little bit different - OMG Hello!!!!!

The weather wasn’t on our side but that didn’t matter in the slightest. We made use of the gorgeous backdrop, cute, spunky kids, and precious family connection instead.

Then, after making a few new cacti acquisitions, we visited Lucy’s screen printing studio, a bluestone mill tucked away in the back of Geelong on the Barwon River.

The natural light in this old gem was perfect for an impromptu studio session and the portraits we created are all natural, candid, full of love and life. Just the way I like them. xx
