The magic of the In-Between - Port Fairy Lifestyle Photographer

I want to talk about the magic of the "in-between". Actually, I am busting to talk about it because for me it's these moments that make the difference between a good gallery of photos and a brilliant gallery of photos.

The "in-between" moments are what drive me to capture families and childhood. These are the striking moments that ultimately reveal the real you.

In 25 years time, when my clients are looking back, I want them feel these moments again with intensity. I want them to be completely back in that moment and feel for just another second the same joy, love, amusement and passion they felt at that time in their lives.

The magic that happens when everyone stops trying to please the camera is what I am all about. Of course I aim to deliver beautifully composed, conventional family portraits. That is the easy bit!  For me though, the thrill is in capturing the mood and the emotions you express with your loved ones.

Capturing that and finding the real you is my challenge every single time.

I put together a few of my favourite "in-between" moments from my latest shoot. These moments are the pure joy. The real giggles, the roll around in the grass belly laughs that happen when you are just being you.
