Where did November go...? Is it really December...? Christmas is officially 20 days away... Arghh!

Given it's that time of year again I thought I would share some intentional, eco friendly gift ideas that I came across thanks to my friends over at Tribe Archipelago.

It’s so easy to fall into the trap of consumerism during the festive season but keep in mind there are other intentional gift giving options that are kind on the environment and heartfelt!

Companies that offer ethically sourced, sustainable and practical products include…

Life Without Plastic

Safe, high quality, ethically sourced, Earth-friendly alternatives to plastic products.

Or for more intentional ideas on gift giving this festive season you could also try these suggestions!!

1) Invest in EXPERIENCES over things.
Suggestions: concerts, movies, museum entrance, music/art lessons, or even photography workshops!

2) MAKE SOMETHING.
Maybe you are crafty, or can bake the best brownies in town! Handmade gifts are very special.

3) Try to BUY LOCAL!
Supporting local businesses keeps more of the money you spend in the local economy, and helps people like you.

4) BUY SECONDHAND!
Vintage, collectibles, an old film camera... There are many treasures to be found, and you aren’t contributing to more waste by shopping this way!

5) BE INTENTIONAL ABOUT BUYING.
If you do need to buy something new, try to ensure that you find things that are: sustainable, fair-trade, & plastic-free!

I'm going to give some of these ideas a go this Christmas because I know they will be better for me, my loved ones and the environment as well! Happy gift giving and have a wonderful festive season. xx
